We will find out. Why wouldn't they try to? It is easier said than done. I agree with you though that Bayless has lots of potentials. Especially with the Jepsen situation, this opens the door nicely with her. The question is if Fisher needs her as an OH or she will see more time in the middle? |

Just a thought, but if you are recruiting someone of the Mormon faith don’t you inquire about her taking a mission and the timeline for such an event? Fischer is too smart not to have asked.

I don't know the details of how getting a mission works, but it sounds like something that you show interest in while in high school, and if the calling comes along, you just go with it. Fish might have known it was a possibility. I don't think it's something that you would hear in recruiting from the player and just pull the scholarship offer on the spot. That seems stupid.
I doubt she'd have gotten time as much in the spring if they knew she was leaving. This is also I'm pretty sure the first time any Pitt athlete has gone off like this.
Bayless isn't a middle. She's not going to get time there. I think they are going to put Cat Flood in the second libero jersey for her to come in and serve, and Bayless will be the first OH off the bench.

You’d be opening yourself up to being accused of discrimination based on religion if anything were to go wrong and discrimination lawsuits are no fun. |
