Watching the conference race this year, I am most interested in how it will turn out for Illinois, USC, Minnesota and Washington.

Wow, that’s a BIG class. But the late addition of DS/L Warren might be the biggest get.

USC✌🏼 Taylor Deckert - University of Southern California - Libero/DS (SCVC) Presley Kiffin - University of Southern California - OH (Mizuno Long Beach) Quinn Loper - University of Southern California - OH/OPP (WAVE) Reese Messer - University of Southern California - Setter (Dynasty) Abigail Mullen - University of Southern California - OPP (Dynasty) Addie Townsend - University of Southern California - Libero/DS (Sunshine) This is a big time class. Mullen is a game wrecker. Messer is THE most athletic setter I’ve seen in juniors since Kendra Waite. Love her game. And Taylor Deckert is the real deal - will be a big time bro in a league full of them. I expect the Trojans to be a top 10 team with legit title aspirations over the next few years. Yup, I said that. Some great athletes. I am most interested in seeing how Abigail Mullen develops. Both parents Big Ten athletes. Many coaches see her as a multi year AA. A couple coaches think she could be a national champion and a player of the year if coached and surrounded properly. It would be fun to see USC back in the hunt for a national title, IMO.

What’s her potential of beating out current freshman, McAleer, for the libero jersey next year? McAleer has been on fire as of recently, but Warren sounds like the real deal.

Not sure, but I do know that having multiple elite passers has become a “must have” if you wanna compete at the top of this league. So Warren is definitely a great late add to the class.

I think it's McAleer's spot to lose. Warren hasn't played any college ball yet. McAleer will have a year of experience passing and defending in the B1G. She really has upped her game and I'm sure she'll look even better next year when she's playing in her natural position (left back). But Warren will be a great addition. She'll no doubt put pressure on Ryan for that jersey. Bring back the days of Otec and Mo Hornung!

I wonder if Michigan or UCLA have a chance at an NCAA bid if they win out. Both schedules are doable with home matches against Oregon, and UCLA traveling to Illinois. Those two teams look to me like they should be closer to the top 9 instead of the bottom 7 like they are.
