PURDUE - Returning Starters Only S - Anderson OPP - Wollard OH - Hudson OH - Chicoine MB - Colvin MB - Meyers L - DS - (Hornung was the DS starter, but will most likely be the starting libero.) Does Purdue even have any other DS's with experience? I don't think they have a 6ro opposite on the roster but if they did they should just go international/Stanford style and play everyone around. Not in actual B1G play but their freshman McAleer is going to be a stud. She's very capable of being a DS for them, if not the libero.

I have no idea, usually I Know, but I’ve followed their new setter Ammeraal since high school. She is the most talented player at the setter position I’ve seen since Carlini. Once I started looking at the roster I was shocked to see the whole team will be basically new. A mix of transfers and freshmen. It will be interesting to follow or tragic. Also excited to see what Ammeraal will add to the team. She is impressive. There are a couple of others which might bring unexpected talent, but I am playing the wait and see game. I thought Urquhart was an OH last year instead of DS.

I remember having to follow the latter on Gameslacker. How things have changed! At least you can trust the live stats now.

Sad it's condensed to an hour

if I have to watch ONE MORE season of Burbage as the starting OPP, I'm gonna scream With the offseason addition of OH, Averie Hernandez and two newly eligible, promising freshmen pins with club experience playing opposite (Taylor de Boer & Laynie Smith), I think that starting spot is going to be more competitive than its been in awhile. So your vocal chords may be saved and fully rested for cheering for the Boilers and Bruins : ) I'm really looking forward to seeing McAleer play! I can't help but favor scrappy DS/L and Purdue seems to train that position really well. And Eva Hudson seems poised to reach another level this year, IMO. She was playing so well late last season. So much fun to watch. Oh I just remembered that insane, falling backward, 4 to 4 beach kill of hers from last year- I gotta find that highlight! EDIT: Found it! v v v v v Was just scrolling Twitter and was glad to see this one in my feed. Such a cool shot on a memorable night for Eva Hudson and the Boilers!

I thought Urquhart was an OH last year instead of DS.Urquhart played very little in OH position last year. She was definitely not close to 100% physically and also Buettner and Moravec were likely deemed more effective in that OH role. So, she primarily played back row in 2023...very solid passer and best server on team. But she absolutely was a starting OH in 2022, which may be what you are thinking of. Will be very interesting to see where she fits in this season, as she appears to be much closer to 100% now. I suspect she will absolutely be on the floor in some capacity, due to her all-around skill set and given she is one of the few on the team with significant collegiate in-game experience.

It's all but a guarantee that one of them will play over Kelly and/or Staniszewska who got most of the OH2 starts last year. Doezema played a bit in the middle in the spring so if she slots in there, another one of the transfers likely plays on the right with Moore.

I agree, since all 3 transfers were studs at their previous schools. It will be interesting to see what happens in the middle. Does Mia Hood graduating early get her ready to contribute meaningful minutes? Also, I think Doezema on the rightside helps due to her blocking ability, especially in such a tough conference full of amazing OH's.
