I agree, they should be the favorite coming into the season. I think they will be a tough out for a lot of teams this year outside the top 15. Saying it doesn’t make it true. Hawai’i just reloaded. I am glad to hear Hawaii has brought in some nice recruits. Conference needs to have the top continue to build and have the bottom move up a couple of notches. I love hearing about the good recruiting other BW teams are having.

Ms. Hurriyet is an interesting recruit. Very little known for sure. How will her foreign background adapt to CAL POLY's style. It's been a long time since the days of Kristin Jackson & Katherine Brouker

Akima's game certainly improved with time.

I'm guessing Akima got accepted into the program of her choice at USF. It also is a Jesuit, Catholic school so maybe that's a factor. It's cool to see the players get more education out of this sport. Funding graduate school is hella expensive. Akima is a veteran lib who will exceed wherever she goes.

One very memorable match was on Nov 3, 2023 in Oahu,... POLY winning 3-2,...Akima had the match high 23 digs.

Jolei Akima - Libero - Cal Poly to San Francisco
Michalina Rola - Outside - Cal Baptist to San Francisco
wow, passing was Poly's achilles heel last yera, and Akima was the one bright spot in that area.
I would make Poly the favorite, except for that their passing will be a huge question mark coming in to the season, which I'm sure the coaches udnerstand
