Is Poulter on it I wonder? yes That's hella sus considering she hasn't played a minute of pro ball in two years. I, as a fan of the USWNT, want to see her playing and see what kind of form she is in.

(of course that may depend on how she looks in the VNL)

Karch is going to pay the transfer fee to pick up the Setter/Libero from the Grand Rapids Rise.

If any American setter can even come close to replicating Cook and Plummer's club performances this season, does the USA stand a chance at a repeat olympic gold medal?

Maybe... the haak distraction and good passing are also big reasons they get so many good looks on offense. It doesn't just come down to them having an elite setter. I think if poulter and jwo can be the Tokyo versions of themselves - usa maybe could come close to replicating what imoco does with kp and cook imo. The oppo is gonna need to pull some attention tho

If any American setter can even come close to replicating Cook and Plummer's club performances this season, does the USA stand a chance at a repeat olympic gold medal? only if JWO steps up and one of our opposites isn’t utterly tragic. with how I think our roster will look, I would probably go: Plummer/Kelsey Haleigh/Chiaka best setter/Annie JWO with a mid-set dub sub and a late set Larson for Plummer DSing. if Plummer doesn’t show up, insert Frantti and forgo the late set DS. if Drews is hot and we don’t need to mess up the flow, Rettke is a great serving sub for Chiaka.

So at this point we fully anticipate Drews being the starter and Thompson the reserve?
I'm just not sure I'm going to like this but we'll see.
I'm still holding out hope that maybe Poulter or ANY other setter can bring even a fraction of BOTH Thompson and Drew's Tokyo performances this summer.
Team USA does tend to rise to the Olympic occasion so we'll see what the VNL will show us.

Not going to lie ya'll, I am going to really miss watching Akinradewo at the Olympics. Not seeing her in Paris is going to be so strange. I kind of hoped she would pull a Danielle Scott-Arruda and keep coming back to the team.
Don't mind me ya'll I'm just feeling nostalgic. Who's a player you guys miss seeing in the USA jersey?
