If I'm remembering correctly Kim Hill never had a bad outing as a serving sub in Tokyo. So she did exactly what Karch brought her for. Krob, did she even see the floor once? She got less floor time then she did in Rio. Kelsey wasn't used very much, and when she was she didn't really help. She was subbed in the third set and started the fourth against Turkey, both of which USA lost. She subbed the first two sets and started the third against Russia, all three of which USA lost. She didn't play in any of the elimination matches. So all in all, she played 5 sets, all of which the USA lost. Notably the USA only lost 7 sets in all of the Tokyo Olympics.

Kim Hill just let Karche beat her down after her big performance in the World Cup. She kept a smile on her face and soldiered on, got her loyalty award for Tokyo after having to delay retirement for a year, and has quietly gone back to civilian life. Blame it on Kumbaya... an ini or outi? kumbaya is largely what put hill on that roster and got her a gold medal... wasn't she injured and he still took her? She doesnt seem like someone who got the short end of the kumbaya stick lol Kimmy took every kumbadvandatge. She knew how to play by the rules.

Kelsey had an injury in Tokyo too. so if you want to feel bad for anyone, it should be Sarah Parsons.

Part of picking the roster was Karch asking the players whom they wanted to play with iirc…..

Team USA should establish starters+1 (or whatever number it is at each position), and then do a fan’s choice for the final name we at each position. Boom. Your roster.

Japan should be coming here soon... (Manami is using Airi to prep lol)
They'll give us better USA content than USAV will lol
