I didn't watch the matches, how did Larson perform? Horribly. She hit negative 500, passed a 1.02 and never got a serve over the net Or at least that’s why people have pretty much said on the thread when she shanked one ball.. that last sentence is funny bc I think she did serve like her first 4 serves of VNL into the net lmao. But yea she did play very well

I have to believe if Poulter is anywhere close to Carlini and Hancock she is going to Paris. She has no real match play in the last 2 years except last week. She is also a proven gold medalist who did not let nerves get to her first time around. What’s the chance USA takes 3 setters? I would like to see all 3 go. Is the 13th alternate part of the team or just there if an injury happens? Do they get a medal? If not that would be a very hard position to be in for any player but especially a veteran.

I'm torn about the setter selection I want to see for week 2.
On one hand I want to see a healthy Carlini/Hancock duo.
On the other, IF Poulter is going to Paris, I want her to get as many match reps as possible and I'm not sure sitting out one week is going to be a smart decision.
Then again, the team is looking to peak in time for the Olympic, not right now.

I believe it is no medal unless they end up replacing one of the 12. Then all 13 would get a medal (basing off of the Tokyo games, anyway).
