I'd be willing to wager that Madi Bugg gets an invite to train this summer if Poulter won't be in the conversation. I still think Gray and Evans will be there, Dilfer too. Hilley isn't ready. These are the setters I would invite to train this summer if I were the coaching staff: Carlini, Hancock, Bugg, Gray, Dilfer and Evans. Thoughts? No to Dilfer. She has been consistently terrible in PVF. I would say SKT. She has led her team (a lower tier club) to a point away from the Ligue A lead in France.

Outside Hitter is going to be THE race to watch for the olympic roster. Plummer and Frantti are making strong cases to be on that roster. It's all going to come down to what kind of shape Larson is in. I think Lanier or A. Skinner could surprise and sneak onto the roster. Bajema is on the outside looking in. I wonder what SWP will look like this summer? Will she be in the conversation? Kelsey is the only lock for me at this current time. I'd invite Cook, Larson, Plummer, Frantii, Bajema, Lanier, A. Skinner, SWP and probably Nuneviller or Lee. I'd go Eggleston for Nuneviller

I love Gray, but I don’t see Karch making big changes. By the end of club season, he could have his preferences set and VNL will likely be the final decisions. And of course he needs a Kumbaya cheerleader for the 13th spot lol.

Why doesn’t karch like Edmonds? She hasn't played abroad against better competition and isn't an upgrade over Bejema or Plummer.

USAV needs some gymnastics energy where girls pop off in the Olympic year and make the roster lol
Before someone flames me, obviously subtract all the horrible stuff

Claire Hoffman has quietly become the #3 scorer *and* receiver in france... she's passing 2.33 and hitting .300 with 4kps

I think we’ll probably see Hall (Stevenson) invited over either Tapp or Butler. Her team in Italy isn’t doing the best, but I don’t think that reflects on her specifically. O'Neal was AWFUL the other night at PVF... She was, but 1) Columbus is a hot mess and 2) she showed that she can hold her own in international play last summer, so that should still be taken into consideration. I think the three middles for the Olympic roster will be Ogbogu (M2), Rettke (M1), and Washington (bench), but O’Neal should still be getting an invite this summer.

Carlini and Hancock are still head and shoulders above the other US setters for me. I hope Poulter can build back for 2028. Tbh I'd rather see Karch bring up NCAA players (e.g. Pukis, Bergen, Kami) to the gym than see Evans/Dilfer/Gray struggle again but I doubt he would do that
