It's the end of the quad. There's no reason to invite anyone for training purposes. At this point, the only thing to do is evaluate for final rosters. I want Khalia !!!!! I just want to see her glow.

Does Bugg have a realistic shot at surpassing Hancock or Carlini this summer? I'd like this to remain as civil and unbiased as possible but I know the discussion between Carlini and Hancock often gets petty so, it is what it is.... Play nice everyone. no, but i think they've supplanted themselves as our two starting setters this summer. there's evans, gray, who i feel like are on that next level down. if team usa had the passing we did at tokyo, i would loooooove to see what kind of offense jenna can run. when minas has been passing well, she's had that team firing on all cylinders (imo).

True but they have B team tournaments so they will invite about 30-40 players and divide them up like they do every year. Besides, it's never to early too start preparing the pipeline for the next quad, where we are the hosts. Maybe it's about semantics, but "invite" to me has the purpose of intentionality. Having a group of players in the training gym is the entire purpose of the NT program, so all of those things that are being mentioned are usual and customary functions, but at this point in the quad, they are not, and should not be, the primary focus of the actual NT staff. I agree with you. I just think more than just the Olympic hopefuls will be invited. The team are the defending olympic medalists. I think we may see a few surprise faces this summer. Many will want the chance to defend that gold medal.

Gray did quite good job with Minas. She is pushing the tempo way too much compared to her college days. Watching Minas gives a poor version of Team USA 2014 vibes lol.
After watching Carlini to not perform better than average Turkish setters all year, I'd like to see a new name for Paris. Karch had the balls for 2019 World Cup to make Poulter starter. He needs to make a risky choice again. Idk who to bet on but playing safe won't be enough.

I think Kipp has to get an invite this summer. She can play a role, even if it's not on the A team. I would still invite Thompson, Drews and Cuttino. I liked what we saw from Nia Reed in 2022 but she seems to have been given the boot for Samedy. What other USA opposites are lighting up the pro circuit this season? I would for sure invite Thompson, Drews and cuttino. Kipp as well. Not sure a 5th is needed. Mims will be around... and arguably should be the 3rd option.

I think our MB duo is going to be Chi and Dana. I think it's Haleigh's spot to lose to one of O'Neal, Tapp, or Butler. Is anyone else even in the conversation? I'd love Molly McCage to make an appearance but I'd be shocked if she does. I'd invite Ogbogu, Rettke, Washington, O'Neal, Tapp and Butler to train this summer. Thoughts? I think we’ll probably see Hall (Stevenson) invited over either Tapp or Butler. Her team in Italy isn’t doing the best, but I don’t think that reflects on her specifically.
