Also, interesting --- It won't be Matt Fuerbringer since he's Canadian (he's also being shown as the men's assistant coach, but I don't know if that's new). But also interesting, on: usavolleyball.org/about/leadership-staff/ , Alfee is now listed as a 'seasonal assistant coach' which I think IS new.

Virtue had it when Slabe was on staff.

Fuerbringer’s Federation of Origin is USA, and he is clearly in the USAV “pipeline”, although I can’t imagine him being in serious contention for the WNT Head Coach job.

What I meant is- Maybe in the future he'd be interested in coaching the women's NT. Hence, taking the job in Madison. Or It's possible he's open to both men's and women's teams and is just “getting his feet wet” as a head coach. By doing this with time he’d be eligible to coach either side. He’s only 50, so plenty of time to achieve NT Head coach status IF that’s something he’s interested in pursuing.

Okay, so I had a bit of hyper-fixation moment, and here are the list of coaches (Minus Karch, Erin, Alfee from the olympics) that have been involved in the Women's NT (& U21 / College). This is the list of coaches starting with the most recent first:
Brad Rostratter (2024 NORCECA Final Six HC & PanAm Cup HC) Jonathan Charette (2024 NORCECA Final Six AC & PanAm Cup AC) Tayyiba Haneef-Park* (2024 NORCECA Final Six AC, 2024 PanAm Cup AC, 2023 Collegiate National Team AC) Chris McGown, Gold Medal Squared (2024 Collegiate NT HC) Suzie Fritz, LOVB (2024 Collegiate NT AC) Danielle Scott, LOVB* (2024 Collegiate NT AC, 2024 U19 NORCECA Girls Continental Championship AC, 2023 Collegiate National Team AC) Jamie Morrison, Texas A&M (2024 U19 NORCECA Girls Continental Championship HC) Michelle Chatman Smith, LOVB (2024 U19 NORCECA Girls Continental Championship AC, 2023 Collegiate National Team HC) Heather Olmstead, BYU* (2024 AND 2023 U21 NORCECA Women’s Continental Championship HC, 2023 Collegiate National Team AC) Alex Dunphy, Stanford (2024 AND 2023 U21 NORCECA Women’s Continental Championship AC) Jaylen Reyes, Nebraska (2024 AND 2023 U21 NORCECA Women’s Continental Championship AC) Tom Hogan (2023 FIVB U21 World Championship HC) Stacy Sykora (2023 FIVB U21 World Championship AC) Lauren Plum (2023 FIVB U21 World Championship AC)
* Coached the most events (3) from this list.
(note, I know Keegan coached something but don't know why he's not on this list - maybe was just a development team and not an event?)
Anyway, take that for what you will.

I know this is out of nowhere but I kind of want to see Jason Mansfield (K-State) or like, Brittany Dildine from Wisc, but I know that's nowhere near the pipeline. They would never choose an assistant coach.
