I am going to assume Tribe declined. Dynasty didn’t perform well at their qualifiers, not better than Tribe. Correct. Any idea why they declined?

No doubt definitely had to decline, w/ AAU and USAV being so close probably decided to stay home.
Per our prior discussions of 18 nationals- AAU 18 open has 10 teams attending! It’s on life support!!

Any idea why they declined? Tribe never applied for it- not all parents were on board to go to Vegas.

It is so hard to convince 18U players to commit until June.
I can only speak to Muncie, but they have a lot of underclassmen competing on their top team so there is more incentive. They also keep 12 plus 18U rosters (15 players listed this year).

If I were a parent on that Tribe team I would of also said "No" to USAV. That teams get nothing out of going to USAV. They can stay close to home and slug it out on days 2, 3,and 4 with some of the best teams in the country. Kudos to those parents recognizing there is no need to play both AAU and USAV championships.

Have to think Tribe is going to get one of the at large bids for Open. But maybe they don't want to go to Vegas. Really no need to, just about every player on that team has committed. As I said before, no need to go to both. People get too caught up in the trophies instead of the training and getting great reps.

I don’t think the competition will be quite the same but I do get staying at home basically when your entire team is committed

Great call by the parents didn’t qualify so why take the at large when they can play at home. Wish more parents stood up and did this!!

Heard of a club coach from a nationally prominent club who went after a regional bid for the first time ever because her team really wanted it. She was content just to go to AAU Nationals.

Why wouldnt you take the at large bid if you get it over the National division? Same site and times so cost is the same
