NYU with a big win over UC Santa Cruz in 4 and Nazareth with a gutty win in 4 sets over Lasell too. UVC looking real strong to start the year so far. NYU still got Carthage on Saturday and then Cal Lu on Sunday to end the trip

Mayhem.
Quick observations:
WIT is the best Institute of Technology at the D3 level (might have size to compete with NJIT too).
One west coast school is finally relevant again! CLU making a statement, Slugs got stomped. Must really suck for them that one week in, you can kiss the season goodbye.
Last year’s natty champ participants may still be hungover.
Midwest looking just that… Mid. Benedictine having a banner/ring night had me crying - next will be varsity letter jackets!
The Fisher tournament was a gauntlet. Great weekend for Misericordia & Fisher, tough weekend for Juniata, tougher for Lasell in Rochester.
Back to back teams travel to the “Mecca” - aka armpit of Western Mass., and no-show. Guess Chawley schedules cream puffs to build confidence in this younger generation! Charmin status.

If there are 3 independent teams are getting in this year, how many C pool teams? We must have lost some Conference (Auto Bids).

Not exactly someone you need to scratch off your list of Final Four contenders, but Lesley (NEVC) canceled the season. They haven't won a match since 2019 and haven't won a conference match since 2012. The program has only 21 total wins since beginning in 2006. Gonna update this as Lesley announced this past Friday they are discontinuing men's volleyball. Adding men's golf for next school year. Frankly I'm surprised this school is still open.

My personal top 10 this week. #1 - Wentworth #2 - Stevens #3 - Cal Lutheran #4 - Southern Virginia #5 - St. John Fisher #6 - Nazareth #7 - NYU #8 - Springfield #9 - Carthage #10 - Vassar Who has Nazareth beat to put them that high. They went to 5 with two unranked teams and your putting them at 6?

If there are 3 independent teams are getting in this year, how many C pool teams? We must have lost some Conference (Auto Bids). To my knowledge the only conference that has been lost is the NECC, it has been disbanded in its place is the NEVC. They have to wait another year to get their AQ bid so they are a pool C bid as well

How about those MU cougars taking the W against LBC? It's always a wild ride when teams alternate sets like that. I repeat my earlier statement Pointkowski was a great get for MU.

I agree he just works so well in this Misericordia team. It’s a shame he was held back by a below average King’s team for the last 2 years. If he had gone to Misericordia since the beginning he would have been a monster and Misericordia would have been on another level these last two years
