Behind Wisconsin Nebraska Purdue USC Oregon Penn State Minnesota Indiana Ohio State Washington Did you not see several Of those teams last season I mean who does ucla for sure finish above on that list? With who they have returning? Only MAYBE I can see is Indiana and Washington, but Haworth is better than any player on ucla and she will do amazing things next year, and Washington added some decent transfers to add depth, which they really needed last year with their injuries

And they added a solid transfer coupled with a solid freshman class as well. How do you figure SC,Indiana ,Minnesota,Ohio State,or Washington will be better?

Because ucla wasn’t that good last year to begin with and lose their best player? And isn’t one of their better pins leverette still tbd on playing? USC loses fields which is huge, but they finally get healthy again with Adonia and ford healthy, both players who likely would Of started. Not to mention their freshman class is much better than ucla imo. Battenhorst won’t replace fields but she knows the big ten and won’t need to replace them. USC will be much more balanced this year Minnesota I can see, but they also have a lot of talent on the roster still. More than ucla imo. Ohio state was young last year. I can’t remember if they lose everyone but I do remember everyone expects them to be MUCH better this year. Washington again I can see, but Washington is finally healthy too, and added much needed depth with transfers. I can see ucla finishing above some of these schools, but I can easily see them finishing below as well

I can see ucla finishing above some of these schools, but I can easily see them finishing below as well I honestly can't think of a team that won with smoke and mirrors more than UCLA. I think they can be in the tournament, with the right non-conference schedule, but, on paper, and my general subjective opinion is that they are nowhere close to being better than Nebraska, Wisconsin, Penn State, Purdue, and Oregon, and IF they manage to be higher than Minnesota, Ohio State, Washington, Indiana, and probably Illinois, it will be more to do of the conference schedule than it is UCLA actually being the better team. I also generally like USC better than UCLA, but a lot rides on how much Batenhorst is able to replicated Fields' production and if Tuaninga makes a bigger impact than she did last year, I also wouldn't count Maryland out of the running if Dowler returns. Unfortunately for UCLA, for the single match teams, they catch Illinois, Indiana, and Maryland on the road. That is going to put A LOT of pressure on them to take out Minnesota/Ohio State at home.

USC freshman class isn’t much better if at all,but you did preface it with “imo”. All the schools mentioned can go either way to be honest outside of Wisconsin,Nebraska and possibly Purdue.

Pretty sure it was Alupei that had surgery. And it's nice to see the optimism around UCLA for next year (much better than the doom-and-gloom prognostications of the end of the Sealy era). Although, I'd say it's rather unfounded at this point. Where they will fall at the end of it all is going to be highly dependent on how other teams progress, because they don't add major pieces and don't really address their issues from last year. Additionally, Reft will be gone for most of the summer again for National Team duties, so a lot of work will fall on his relatively new staff.

UCLA should be favored in most if not all of these, but they will be testing out lineups. Will the freshmen be on campus yet?
