Not good for PSU when your leftsides put up those attacking numbers! I mean, no one other than Kerr was good last night. TBH I was thoroughly unimpressed with Snyder's setting. Yes, the passing struggled with the Beach's tough serving but he often didn't better the ball or put his hitters in good position. In fact, a lot of his sets to the left or the bic were just awful location. I was impressed with what Kuhns did off the bench though.

Beach was impressive. Even the set they lost, they battled hard to push it to 24-26. One of those sets where not a lot was going right so it was a grind. The serving was top form, the blocking got better and better thru the match, Godbold and Soto were taking a lot of swings both had a cold spell but surrounded that with the good stuff. Soto has a wicked knack of dicing up a block with angled attacks and doinks. Aidan served a very good match, he's solid now rarely gets flustered he has a serious edge to him this year. Varga his best match yet, the 10 digs were impressive and he started joining in the block party, player of the game effort. Torwie went off the longer the match wore on. Set 1 was competitive for a while. 2 and 4 were thrashings. Penn St had one really good server, a couple pretty good and the rest not so great. The wicked Beach serves kept their setter off balance he did a good job sometimes but I think the attackers were having issues with the sets. Some really fun rallies both sides were hustlin!
