was there a Volleyball USA guy getting paid $400K or $250K? maybe worked with both indoor and beach. Maybe $400K was indoor coach combined salaries or something
I think a while back ago someone wrote a comment about it
1. Chase Budinger 2. Volleyball USA guy getting paid $250K+ (assuming this was correct from my memory) 3. Anders Mol and Christan Sorum (alleged $100K redbull deal plus winnings and other sponsorships/stipends)

If we're counting money earned from other sports (CBud) or indoor, Taylor Sander has got to have a pretty big bank account. And who's the French indoor guy, Lyneel?
But for beach-related earnings only, you'd have to look at not only prize winnings but sponsorships. I imagine the Vikings and the Swedes are doing pretty well there. AP/Duda have a pretty big club in Brazil sponsoring them.

They are contending for richest country in the world, per capita. Their North Sea oil fields, among other wise industry contract decisions over this past 80 years, where all natural resources become eventually nationalized, means Norway has over a Trillion dollars in investments spread all over the globe. If Norway wanted to, they could give every citizen a couple of million dollars.
All that to say, if an athlete in Norway needs federation support, it wouldn't be the slightest problem.

So Speraw > Karch.

Duda has some big sponsors: Redbull, Oakley, Banco Do Brasil, Brazilian military, Petrobras, a University, Skin care brand, supplement company, health food brand, Brazilian sports club and a few smaller sponsors.

I'm sure the actual richest is whoever is in line to inherit the most family wealth.
As for earnings, I understand that most of the sponsorship deals have pretty big performance incentives, so hard to compare in abstract terms.

Norwegians do very well, but nowhere near people from the richer Gulf countries. Its impossible to find a poor, or even a middle class Kuwaiti. Not one. Mol/Sorum are definitely the men's pair making the most from BVB though

Alix Klineman is probably one of the richest on the women's side between her indoor, beach, and endorsement earnings plus being married to a former professional hockey player and owning a house in Manhattan Beach.

In terms of money earned on their own it has to be Budinger right? $18.3 million in NBA contracts, not sure how much of that is taxed haha. Norway and Qatar definitely up there too but even in the middle east I don't know how much it means to be a top beach volleyball player to Qatari sponsors. Duda and Ana for sure paid well by Brazilian standards and nice prize money but Brazilian currency isn't too strong. I'm not counting John Sutton, no clue how much he has made.
