As I watch the Penn State/USC match and Toby started going off in the 3rd, I started thinking about who is the most exciting player to watch in college volleyball. Some names that came to mind: - Toby Ezeonu. Just an absolute beast that can take over matches and is a matchup nightmare for opposing teams. - Nic Slight. Makes his team better. Goes against the flow. Betters the ball. The guy you can stand (unless he's on your team). - Ethan Champlin. As a volleyball fan, the guy does it all so well. The equivalent of a 5 tool player in baseball. Probably the highest volleyball IQ. Who you got? And why? Of course LBSU’s Nathan Harlan after all the trick shots, godly shots, and all that he has left me in awe everytime. A volleyball genius on his good days.

Does Henno do the two-handed throw into the block more than others? In the first set of the GCU match, I think I counted at least 5 times. Not the prettiest volleyball play and wish the refs would sometimes call a lift.

That freshman setter at Hawaii, the best freshman in the country in my opinion.

I think the NPOY will be between Henno and Chakas. I don’t see anyone else coming and taking it away from them at this point. Maybe Slight?
And for NFOY, it’s probably the Hawaii freshman setter.

This, both are top 5 in kills per set and points per set. Chakas, however, is #2 in the country in hitting percentage as an outside hitter, that is mind boggling!

This guy is doing it all. From every facet of the game. It used to be about his serve and wicked lefty attack from the left side but now he's a more complete player. I truly believe this past summer competiting in VNL and getting to be around the French men's senior national team raised his level of play to new heights. Hilir is so good! I like the UCI team/program in general as well. Last season and this season, if I'm not watching the Warriors, I'm looking for Anteater matches to take it. I also think that Shewie has helped elevate Hilir's play by being a more consistent setter than his predecessors.

MASON. BRIGGS. I'm not giving up my campaign for a libero winning it! Worth trying though 😆 I just don’t think he is at that level compared to the other 2 players mentioned. I know this is part of the women side, but does the team has to be in the final 4 for the players to be considered for the NPOY award for the men games?

I am also rooting for Todd to be the 1st team AA too.

Geste Bianchi of SB is a player to watch
especially considering how much of the load he has to carry on that team
