Just checked online. Long Beach State is not classless and offers classes in a wide variety of subjects: catalog.csulb.edu/This made my day, Vinnie!

What happened at point 10/11 in set 1? They gave a point and then took it back? Looked like a 4 hit (or double hit) call was made, argued the ball went off the opponent's block, and then the refs must have come together and decided that it did, indeed, go off the block and there was a replay.

The sh!t talk was back and forth all night. The postgame reaction and lack of respect from the LBSU European players (Sotos Siapanis and Lazar Bouchkov) was completely ridiculous and anyone defending that I find hilarious. Siapanis coming onto the UCSB side waving his shirt around and talking more trash was a complete joke I thought the Euro recruits would be more disciplined than that. Kudos to you American parenting What’s hilarious is thinking that SB players and coaches respect anyone! The European players are very respectful. I remember when Alex Nikolov was at LBSU. The one thing that frustrated him was how disrespectful the opposing teams were, with all the trash talking. It seems Lazar and Sotos learned from the best!

Lol I believe Chakas also tweeted a very similar thing last year saying how unneeded it is. (Not a Hawaii fan either don’t attack)

The sh!t talk was back and forth all night. The postgame reaction and lack of respect from the LBSU European players (Sotos Siapanis and Lazar Bouchkov) was completely ridiculous and anyone defending that I find hilarious. Siapanis coming onto the UCSB side waving his shirt around and talking more trash was a complete joke I find the reaction hilarious. Sianpanis ran up and down the sideline, charaterizing it as 'going to the SB side' is again misleading for his celebration which was ALONG THE SIDELINES. I'm not defending it, at the same time, I understand the exuberance and it was really not that ridiculous in the context of the match and ending. Respect is earned, and SB & McLaughlin and fans taking potshots really need to look in the mirror if they want some respect or think SB deserved any respect after that charade environment that McLaughlin created. Hard to put down players for not respecting something that isn't itself respectful in the first place. This young man clearly has issues with emotional control. It was evident in last year's playoffs, and his emotional breakdown and loss of control was part of why they lost last year. For me, it's less about whether this behavior was appropriate--frankly I don't care about that match one way or another--and more about the fact that NONE of the reactions here have been about getting this young man some help. Emotional training is something provided for elite athletes in other sports, and it's so very important. This kids needs training, if he would be open to it. This isn't the only match where his mentality has limited him--imagine how amazing he could be if he got ahold of that.
