She'll go for anything with a wallet. Also travels to large tournaments (Triple crown for example), and records plays for her tiktoks, but won't tag you if you aren't one of her clients. Not entirely true. She will tag them if they are a top recruit, even if they don't work with her. So other people think the top kids are working with her. As it was mentioned early, basically just a giant grift. She does very little actual recruiting work. But she is very good at self-promotion, so I guess kudos to her for that? Self-promotion is all that matters these days. Que será, será.

I do not think this is a "scam" ... she genuinely is trying to help kids get recruited... That being said, I would not recommend that families sink any significant amount of money into these types of services. Athletes should be creating a list of schools, emailing schools, and getting themselves and their brand out there on their own. With social media and many free (or at least cheaper) options to post information and film. There are a few solid coaches at these things. At the end of the day, these things are a paid lead list for her to target you for her services. She says it in all her social media. Specifically, “Get on our Radar” On “our” radar means she is going to target you for her services, which is recruitment consulting. As long as you are fully aware that this is what you are signing up for, go for it. She provides a great experience for the athletes for sure. If you think you a going to get recruited from this event, you are not. To the earlier point that I will double down on, she captures content from top tier recruits to imply that they are using her services, I assure you they are not.

I dealt with her BS throughout highschool

Isn't there already like something for women wearing red hats? It just seems like you'd get a more unique identifier.

100 Percent SCAM.
As two Club Directors have shared with me, "Red Hat Lady only works with the top tier players who by the way are these easiest ones in the gym to identify. She doesn't work with any mid level players and certainly doesn't spend any time with D2 or NAIA recruits. There are much better resources to help your kid get a scholarship."
There are a number of individuals out there that work under the radar who can help your kid. They don't wear a Red Hat and they have solid contacts with College Coaches because they have built creditability with college coaches in helping them find Diamonds in the rough or actually knowing the players on a personal level.
RED HAT = SCAM ARTIST!!!

I associate a red fedora with Red Hat Software -- a company that was created to package and manage their own custom Linux distros. Made me a decent amount of money in the stock market eventually when they got bought out by IBM (although I was underwater on them for many years at first). I also used to run Red Hat Linux on my home machines. Their logo is nearly exactly the same, which sort of surprises me that IBM hasn't sued her over it.

RED HAT = SCAM ARTIST!!! Generally her clients are D2, D3, NAIA etc. The top tier players do not need her services. She often records plays of the top elite games, but she doesn't represent them.
