Kinda surprised a bit. Next week this might change. Yeah, that knee injury Chakas suffered last night looked really bad. Best wishes to him for a speedy recovery. The next two matches at Long Beach are going to be even tougher if he can't play. I hope Thiim or Sakanoko can step up. |

I honestly can’t see Thiim as the next man up. He’s not the type to carry a top team. Louis needs to step up or can they move Todd to the left and have Louis or one of the freshmen move to RS? Thiim at 6’ is kind of a liability in the front.

Think at 6’ is kind of a liability in the front. Thiim is a liability but Sakanoko is an even worse passer than Thiim. But Thiims serve is by far better than Sakanoko. We see who rises to the occasion but if I wasn't already worried about this upcoming LBSU series. Spyros being out makes me panic even more. |

Thiim at 6’ is kind of a liability in the front. I mean, no one's coming off the bench and carrying the team's offense. If that burden falls on any single player, it's Galloway as the new OH1 who steps up to fill Chakas' spot as the go to (or more likely, Todd moving to 1st choice, and Chaz in OH1 as 2nd choice). Sakanoko or Thimm going in fill in the other gaps, Spyros part in the passing line or Chaz' role in the offense while he steps up. Honestly this is the point where I really wish Coach Wade had let Kauling get more reps. He makes better use of the middles (which is more important than ever), and has been one of the team's biggest leaders. (Even went he went in for half of Set 4, his leadership stood out on the court instantly, and the team looked the most stable they had all night). Spyros' role as offensive and defensive producer aside, Kauling probably is the best cover for the intangibles that he provided. |
