How much weight does the JVA all American list hold? None of the lists hold much weight and my understanding is college coaches know that and don’t use them

Do you think Anderson/Thompson are not as good of a 1/2? At this stage in their development, no way, and I'd bet good money that every college coach in the country would tell you the same thing. So just overall a weaker class, or are you saying other players deserved to be higher?

It's really hard for me to find superlatives for this class. I just caught up on some club ball and even at the very top levels these players just aren't that elite. I see players like Anderson and Thompson, both OH's, who are prepdig's #1 and #2 for 2026, and then watch Sigler and Vander Wal, who are prepdigs #1 and #2 for 2025 (and from what I distinctly remember over the past two years), or Harris, who is the projected #1 setter in 2026 compared to Flynn in 2025, and it's like I'm watching completely different players. Do any of the top 10 play on 17s? That might give us a good idea how they compare to 2025s.

Who are PrepDig’s top at each position?

PrepDig released their rankings for the 2026 class. That said, they don't even have Ayanna Watson's club listed lol. Curious how they're assessing her and others if they don't even know who she plays for. Because PrepDig is a joke and not a reputable source of information about recruiting? THANK YOU !! And to double down clubs manipulate with subscriptions and relationships. Look at the kids from certain clubs always at the forefront.

Look at the kids from certain clubs always at the forefront. Prepvolleyball does the same thing, Take Houston Skyline for example, there are really great players on tbat team but that doesn’t mean they all are..but in these rankings it’s like rising tide’s floats all boats theory . I don’t understand how it’s not clear as a setter if you have weapons at every position and great passers you are gonna look really good. As a hitter, with studs at every position doesn’t this open turn court more for everyone? All of that gets totally ignored and it’s just mind boggling to me.

College recruiters can see the difference. They know when teams are stacked. Whether or not said team gets a kill is rarely what coaches are looking at when evaluating young setters.

I'm gonna hype Lindley Miller here. I just finished some full matches of Triangle 17's, below are some highlights of her on hudle.... girl has size, decent footwork given her size, and hits a good ball. Her contact point isn't super high, but she looks like a pretty good prospect to me. www.hudl.com/v/2NzcJ6www.hudl.com/v/2NyuU0www.hudl.com/v/2Nzgiq

Not related to "who's the top talent," but with June 15 days away, thought I'd share a discussion on recruiting from a coach's perspective (Dan Meske of Louisville) that was more candid than what I've typically seen from coaches.

Do you think Anderson/Thompson are not as good of a 1/2? Every time I have watched Houston Skyline this year, I have been more impressed with Jayden Robinson and Nadi'ya Shelby than Thompson. HT is very gifted physically, of course, but her game has quite a bit of room to expand when it comes to court vision, IQ, and passing. I am sure she'll develop well in those areas once she gets to college, but she has some bad habits (particularly on offense) that she gets away with now that won't translate to the college game.

Agreed. Jayden Robinson is so good. So long.
