Minus the absence of the Americans, the talent level looks down from previous years.. I’m curious to see how LOVB plays out. If they can attract big names and succeed, will international leagues weaken? Probably yes. And how will it impact national team play? assuming players from other nations will need to fill any void that LOVB creates in international leagues. Money aspect is also a factor

Money aspect is also a factor I feel like France/Germany are more likely to see impact than Turkey/Italy will. (minus the teams that want cheap NCAA players). there's plenty of good players "stuck" in France/Germany/Romania... but are there suitable replacements for those teams? probably not, at least not with an increased level of risk.

Minus the absence of the Americans, the talent level looks down from previous years.. The demographics for Europe are terrible for those under 25 years.

The demographics for Europe are terrible for those under 25 years. Demographics aren't everything. There are countries with a few million inhabitants that are more competitive than way bigger countries. Numbers matter. There are far fewer young people in Europe than other places, and there is therefore a lot of competition for fewer people, which results in fewer people in fewer professions. So look to the future of volleyball in Latin America and Africa.

OT: As I interpret it, it is the situation in Africa that is the most dramatic. It's nice to see that 40 percent of the population is young, but if only 3 percent are over 65...

So look to the future of volleyball in Latin America and Africa. Numbers matter up to a certain point. Serbia can compete and beat China even though Serbians are just 6.5 millions. What matters is how you develop, train and teach young athletes.

And how many in your country choose to take up that sport too. (Although in some countries they choose to prioritize certain sports and funnel their athletes that way)

cuneo and trentino both want to buy someone's/a A1 licence. Can you explain what the consequences of this are if they're successful? Is this a way to escape relegation (presumably at the expense of the team they buy from)? What are the advantages for the team selling?

I think I saw they're paying 400k euros to buy it? (that number might be wrong... either way thats crazy considering what they put into their squad this past season) Casalmaggiore is selling because they dont have the sponsors to form a team in A1 for next year... They'll take Cuneo's money and regroup in A2.
