Casalmaggiore officially announced the A1 license's sale (to Cuneo). www.volleyballcasalmaggiore.it/news/la-vbc-casalmaggiore-cede-il-titolo-di-serie-a1/Translation: After 11 years, VBC Casalmaggiore's journey in Serie A1 has come to an end. The club decided to sell the license. This decision has been taken unanimously by all the members and managers of Via Baslenga, after the consideration of an offer for the selling of our A1 license to another club. Many reasons led to this painful decision, first of all the lack of a main title sponsorship for the next season (the 3 years sponsorship of Trasporti Pesanti is over, and VBC would like to thank them). The lack of money from a main sponsorhip would make the approach to a new A1 season too risky. We would have to sign players contract that we might not be able to fulfill, which would be unethical. Despite the license’s sale, VBC Pallavolo Rosa activity isn’t over. New goals will be better defined in the next weeks. Also, the 3 summer camps in Forte dei Marmi are confirmed. With great emotion and deep gratitude we would like to thank the sponsorships and the fans. When we look back to all the years of great cooperation and when we think about all the great moments we shared, we feel joyful and proud. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our sponrships for their constant commitment and generous support all over these years. Thanks to to them we’ve been able to achieve great reults, to build a successful team and to carry the name of VBC Casalmaggiore with pride and determination. And a special THANK YOU goes to all our fans who “painted all the matches pink” and showed all their love and support. We understand and feel your bitterness in these hours: it wasn’t an easy choice but it’s a choice of responsibility. The hope is to have them - sponsorships and fans - still at our side, in the next VBC’s journey. |
