And also Egonu has literally been AWFULLLLLLL for her standards. She has double digit errors like every other match and she isn’t even going off that often to compensate so me coming for her is valid….

Cansu has been terrible thats why we saw Elif playing so much more last year... I think we will see that going forward. Cansu is just not it anymore. Turkey wishes they had that young Naz back. She was good.

She was good. elif has impressed me at times for ecza this year playing better than I thought she ever would. However, she still has games that make me absolutely furious and makes just the worst sets at the worst times to the worst choice and she’s young and does not have much big match experience at all for the national team. Not a great combo if you want a gold medal setter

Cansu had a short period last year or the year before where she was like a top 3 setter but then she got injured and has been mid since... I'm not calling her Malinov but still she's not really that elite. That said, she does seem to save her best for the NT.. at times.

MBH/Gabi/Chi/Haak tax with the passing and bella that good she had no choice but to be decent

(well, and the hitter difference.... but memeing cansu>)

I watched almost every serve that cansu played in 2021 and 2022. She was getting insane passing but she was also playing absolutely elite in late 2021. Then she tore her hamstring and was up and down really ever since. However she still plays at a very high level sometimes.
Even that season after her injury, people forget how bad Haak was near the end of the 2022 season. Zehra and Chi were up and down too. MBH was on the decline offensively for awhile by then. Gabi was the only consistent rock on that team at the end of the season

Italy's strongest roster for this tournament:
S: Orro, Bosio OPP: Egonu, Antropova OH: Bosetti, Pietrini, Sylla, ? MB: Fahr, Danesi, Lubian, Bonifacio L: De Gennaro, Fersino
Who out of Omoruyi, Degradi, Piva, Nervini, Bracchi and Giovannini is the best 4th OH option?
I'm also surprised Squarcini isn't even invited to train. Maybe riding the bench at Imoco the past two seasons didn't help her much?
