Japan is the underdog and Italy the heavy favorites, but I will root for the underdog here, there is something about Japan's incredible defense, reception, passing and never-give-up spirit that makes you cheer for them.

What kind of stats do they use to calculate the "win probability"? The initial "prediction" was 57% - 43% in favour of Japan. That seems like an odd initial prediction. My impression is that this is just a gimmick.
