Player of the Week: Jon Diedrich, OH/OPP, Purdue Fort Wayne
Jon Diedrich of Purdue Fort Wayne made history on Saturday, March 23rd as he recorded a program top 10 mark of 37 kills to finish in the top-10 in program history of a single match and the most by a Mastodon since 2011. The All-American pin hitter finished with 37 kills on 73 attempts where he only committed four errors for a ridiculous .452 hitting percentage. He also notched 3 aces, 3 block assists, and 6 digs on the evening.

Freshman of the Week: Jalen Phillips, Opp, CSUN & Chris Karnezis, Libero, CSUN
The future is very bright for CSUN men's volleyball as Jalen Phillips and Chris Karnezis have both been named the freshmen of the week.
Phillips who spent this past summer with the collegiate national team helped lead the Matadors to defeat Hawaii for the first time since 2018. He scored 3.12 kills per set, two aces, 4 blocks (1 solo, 3 block assists), and 9 digs.
Karnezis provided stability in the back row where he made some key great defensive plays and solid passing. He averaged 1.63 digs per set for the week.
