I wonder if we see UCI break out the 4-2 again. Not as the starting lineup or anything but as a spot work option. It's effectiveness against Hawaii could not be denied.

It makes sense on paper too. Hawaii's single greatest strength at the moment is being the best serving team in the nation by no small margin. Playing with 2 setters helps UCI counteract that, so long as Henno can make up the extra offense. Flexen instead of Akhil might be an option to reduce Henno's offensive burden, but no point in 2 setters if the passers can't even get serves into the air either, so maybe not.

Hawaii also just seems to struggle with left handed hitters. Bianchi had a field day against them as well.

So far, Irvine looks comfortable and Shewie is running his offense well!

Flexen has been passing and hitting well for the Anteaters as well.
