Do you think the US's response(s) have not been positive, and if so, how so? I'm having difficulty understanding your meaning in terms of your response to what bear posted. If the goal is more peace, less war, and fewer deaths, then no. I don't think the US responses in Ukraine or Israel have been positive. If every nation capitulates immediately to the aggressor, then there will technically be more peace, less war and fewer deaths, but it makes no sense either.

These are the kinds of things I don't like that we are doing. For a while, our standard was that we'd only provide weapons for defense. Clearly, that standard is no more.

Great job VT forum partisans. All your predictions about the Russian economy failing and the their military being "depleted" were wrong. www.defensenews.com/pentagon/2024/04/03/russian-military-almost-completely-reconstituted-us-official-says/How many Ukrainian lives and billions did you squander believing the zionist, corporate controlled media that acted as if we would compel another superpower on the other side of the World to submit? How low has our World standing sunk thanks to sheep like you pledging your loyalty to one of these sick corrupt parties? I've been listening to a series of interviews with officials from Finland, Sweden, Ukraine and Russian opposition. They all praised NATO for offering a framework allowing smaller countries the right to independent self-determination rather than to be dominated in the might makes right manner of Russia and other totalitarian states. It's mind-boggling that you cheerlead for small countries to be runover, raped and pillaged by Russia. You are on the wrong side of history.

I think early on, the idea was that Ukraine striking into Russian territory would be an unnecessary provocation. I think the thinking now is that since Ukraine has managed to use drones to strike targets deeeper into Russian territory, the provocation argument is not so strong. And being able to strike farther into Russian territory forces Russia to fire its long range missiles from deeper within its own territory, allowing for a little more time for Ukraine to prepare a defense.
