Why did OOS think it would be a good idea to post that, those Worselys are so eager to post content. Not a good look for OOS either. They have been posting a lot of Gage nonsense lately. I swear, those boys be smokin somethin before recording. Also they sound like the sloth in Ice Age

I was wondering if Keoni had said that or if Louis mentioned something as well. I didn't see a post state that they didn't get along. I think the poster might have senses some jealousy…..meaning Louis was getting the attention that Keoni wanted. Maybe not getting along was a little harsh but my reading of the post was that Keoni didn’t care for Louis but no animosity from Louis toward Keoni. I will try to backread and bump it if I find it 🤣

There is a time to graduate and move on with life. Not hang around for one more year of performing in the role of narcissistic persecuted drama queen with a massive chip on the shoulder.

Well if I remember correctly, Keoni did say that Wade let him know that they were going to go with Louis. I do agree with your earlier sentiment that the upperclassmen should be trying to help out the underclassmen but that is hard to do especially when you're trying to get yours. Life is too funny like that lol Yep…I get that. He just made the mistake of making his feeling public. If he just had gone quietly, nobody will know of these small battles and it would be only an issue of one player leaving for more playing time. That would have made everything easier to take. His desire to air it out just made for unnecessary drama. Agreed. It is disappointing, especially with him being a local born Hawaiian.

If Keoni wanted to bet on himself, he should have stayed and took on the competition, whether that be Sakanoko or the new recruits. While Keoni is an exciting player to watch with his serve and impressive spikes, he has a lot to work on. Serving consistency, ball control and blocking are the main issues. Unfortunately 5’11” OHs are not prototypical in the sport and they need to standout…really standout…to have a place. If he’s transferring to BYU, I hope he can beat out the returning OHs they have. On the other side, what was Charlie Wade supposed to do? He can’t in good conscience guaranty Keoni playing time at this point of the off season knowing Roure, Titriyski and Kearney are coming. And that’s just the recruits we know about. Maybe there is more in pipeline along with potential transfers. The team roster is not set in stone for next season yet. The competition in the gym when practice starts next season will determine who will play, not some potential promise in this offseason. Like I said, if Keoni wanted to bet on himself, he should have taken on the competition and may the best man win. I actually think Wade did the right thing. If Wade promised Keoni playing time now for next year just to keep him in the program and then it didn’t turn out that way for whatever reason…injury, competition, attitude…then Wade looks even worse. And then there will be outsiders saying Wade did Keoni dirty. Wade is in a no win situation that supposedly Keoni put him in. The only way for Wade to play it is to be honest about Keoni’s chances of playing next season. If Keoni doesn’t like it, then he can make his decisions. I admire Keoni for believing in himself, because ultimately if you don’t believe in yourself, how can you expect anyone else to. However if he’s transferring to BYU or whatever other school, do you think those coaches are guarantying Keoni playing time now in the offseason? Maybe.a lower division school or a much less competitive program might, but no school of consequence is going to promise playing time to Keoni at this point of the off season if they are being genuine. Wish Keoni the best. I will miss the excitement he could bring to the arena. Won’t miss the inconsistency. It’s best for all involved for Thimm and the Warrior program to part ways. It’s just really to bad he decided to burn bridges on his way out. After the Long Beach loss Thimm was visibly upset he didn’t play in the 5th set. A young Warrior team won’t need that type of energy from a senior if Thiim is beat out by a freshmen for a starting role next season. I just find it kind of ironic Thiim feels Coach Wade had too long a leash with Louis, because for years fans have complained about Wade’s long leash on Thiim with his inconsistent serve.

Surprise surprise. He is mad for not being put back in for set 5. And coincidentally he has thoughts of transferring after that series. And he believed he was THE man?? Well that explains it.

Keoni Thiim…big TEAM guy. Only listened to half of the podcast and all I heard was someone who cares only about his own success and glory rather than the team’s success. Top programs probably won’t touch him now. He was already a liability with his passing and blocking. Now he’s proving to be a prima donna who will need to have his ego stroked. No thanks.
I’ve never been a big fan of his antics but appreciated his contributions in an almost impossible situation this year. But he’s shown his true colors. The only thing Keoni Thiim cares about is Keoni Thiim.

People like to use the “out of context” excuse when they know they effed up and cannot take it back.
From now on, it’s damage control time cause his antics just made him look like a difficult person to work with.
I can see some team taking him though….just to spite UH. Maybe UCLA will offer him a spot on the team as a serving sub. If he acts up, Speraw will just demote him to behind the blue curtain. They have a roster of 35. What’s one more…LOL
