Like the majority of 1st year players, Freshmen, they will have their Up and Down matches, hitting wise. So will the new Outside and Opposite Hitters coming next season. Do not expect any one of them to be consistently good the whole season. They will have their Up and Down matches. I will expect more up and down matches but that also means we will get to see more players sub in and get some playing time too. I am kinda excited to see that. I totally agree. As much as Charlie Wade hates to substitute players, he will have to get out of his comfort zone next season and substitute players, during a set, match, or even match to match. The only 2 players that will not be taken out next season will be Tread Rosenthal and Kurt Nusterer.

I just know that Roure and Titriyski will be day #1 starters with no major flaws. How can they when one comes from a country that has produced offensive weapons like Rado and A. Nikolov and the other comes from the program whose senior team is the reigning gold medalist? Need to remember Rado did not come into his own until his Junior year and did not sparkle till his Senior year. Even Nikolov had his off days, in his only D1 season.

I think it's been subtle, but I've seen 'Eleu step in a bit of a leadership role in the last few games. So hopefully that bodes well for next season, where he's the only senior in the starting lineup.

Well you just hold on Ms. Wahinefan. Roure and Titriyski are chomping at the bit just to change your mind. I just remembered that.

His sophomore year Honorable Mention All American award would have to disagree with you… Question: do you ever say anything intelligent? Or does wahinefan translate to absolute idiot in English? Sorry I haven’t brushed up on my Hawaiian lately.. babybacksets can you help translate?

Personally, i still want to see what Justin Todd can bring to the table. Would love to see him train in the middle if we are set on the pins. I don’t really know or expect Ofeck Hazan to be the answer right away.

should get this thing rolling now lol Looking forward to 2025. It does appear the rumors are most likely true regarding Kurt. His Instagram seems to hint this is his last season. Maybe we did get lucky and got Seddik? Or if not Seddik, a solid MB recruit/transfer not yet announced. 2025 should be Hawaii’s year again. We have, in my opinion, the top recruiting class.

Seddik would be a steal but realistically i think we will look for a transfer. I think Ofeck being 20/21 years old will probably fill one slot and maybe Charlie is high on Yewchuk or even turn Justin Todd into a MB. We will be a very young team next season so maybe Charlie will be OK with going young and hope this team can become contenders in 2/3 years when we add Wade, Payne and Mouchlias to the roster also. Transfers have never been a big part of Charlie building block during his tenure. Most transfers were role players so I’m not expecting it to change. My gut tells me that Charlie will ride and die the next few years with this talented class. Kinda similar to the LBSU young trio of Tuaniga, DeFalco and Ensing….who all came in and played big minutes their first season . Tread-Roure-Titriyski Tuaniga-DeFalco-Ensing

The Big West will be extremely even next year!!! Irvine with Henno should be the favorite, no flashy setter needed for him.. but everyone else can make a run!!

They don't need a flashy setter but they need a consistent one. And they've lacked that for years only up until Shewie arrived for one season. So we see who UCI can train up at setter. Because UCI for years always had the guns at the pins but they didn't have a consistent setter to set them the balls they need.
