I know the 2024 season just got done. But I cannot wait for the 2025 season to start. Watch all the newcomers in action. It looks like a very promising 2025 season for the Men's Volleyball Team, even with all the newcomers. We're on page 66 of the Hawaii 2025 season thread and we are only a month removed from the 2024 season. And we are 6 months away from the 2025 season. It is pretty crazy.

Newbies is good, but until they get on the court, we will find out. I don't think UH will be BWC for 2025 season. I actually do believe they make it to the BWC. Most BWC teams lose a bunch like UH. UCI will be a favorite for sure with what they have returning but setter is their biggest issue even with Karlous returning. UCSD could surprise. But I think Hawaii finds a way to put it all together. Might start a little rough. But I think as they mesh they will continue to improve.

Is Karlous for sure returning I feel like heโs gotta be too old by now? Is Henno returning?

Big West Conference will be as wide open as it has ever been in its short existence. The top teams all lost some significant pieces. UCSD has a lot returning and if they can repeat the way they played in their win against Hawaii, they could definitely compete with just about anybody. UCSB is my sleeper because they didn't lose anyone of consequence (has Aruya been confirmed?) and they gave some of the top teams from last season trouble. LBSU will claim they are the favorite, but they lost Briggs, Goldbold and Knipe. Briggs is a huge loss. They have to find someone that can pass or Nikolov will have trouble setting up the hitters. Irvine has firepower returning but they lost Power their libero. Bigger loss than Sheward IMO. Hawaii is theoretically loaded but all are incoming freshmen or sophomores (exception of Weiter). Going to be a young team. In an earlier post I was mistaken that CSUN didn't lose a lot, but they did. It will be crazy this upcoming season.

Fans will get to watch all those players grow and frontrunners will emerge as they always do.

Torwie and Harlan also graduated this year, so LB lost nearly their entire lineup

Henno is there, sure (maybe), but Sheward and Power both getting All American mentions says a lot about the system that enabled Henno to play as well as he did. There's a real chance that even if he returns, Henno ends up the best passer on UCI next year. Flexen is a massive downgrade from Tangutur as well as far as backing up Henno goes. He can remain the best player in the nation, but there can be a big contrast between an All-American system backing him vs. any old setter and Libero.

With the mass exodus of GCU players graduating or hitting the portal, Cole may finally get to see court time. He looked decent when he played for us a couple season's ago in road matches. Best of luck to him except if/when they play us Lol.

This news article on this link says that after he finishes school in two years he will join Italian Civitanova who acquired his rights meaning he's signed a contract. This is the pro club that got Nikolov to leave LBSU early.
