i swear half the time i check this thread it turns into an arguement/bickering between the same people. I just wanna see actual discussion and news on here not personal shots at each otherššš where the aloha at man I mean you can tell who specifically target other posters. That šø should just stick to the womenās side. Even there she fights fans from other teams. That šø is itching for drama š¤·š½.

Definitely feels good to have 3 setters onboard. Still awaiting the big announcement. I get the sense that next season is not going to be a near complete rebuild that many would think. We have some real inbound talent that could make some huge waves next year.

Not trying to be rude, but would the ceiling for him would be a serving specialist? Always good to have depth behind tread I suppose...

I donāt doubt that the talent will be there for Hawaii but it remains to be seen if any real cohesiveness will be. I think thatās the major struggle for the program.

Even without 'cohesiveness', men don't have to like each other on or off the court to play well together. Go to any open gym and men will choose an arch enemy to be on their team over some slob. It's our competitive nature.

Weāre lucky that Tread is as good as he is and on track to get better because heāll be working with an almost entirely new group of hitters. Could be entirely new for all we know, I wouldnāt say Sakanoko or Nurstererās spots are solidified with the pin depth and if we really do secure Aruya. Also thankfully most of the top teams will all be facing the same problem so itāll just be about who comes together faster.

Also,
Iām gonna pop off on people who sh!tpost players for no reason. ESPECIALLY if itās about their worth to the team.
There is a difference between criticism of poor play and unwarranted bashing.
I think itās the lowest, most pitiful form of fan commentary and as someone who works with student athletes year round, and see how impressionable they are from the words of others, on top of how critical they are with themselves, I will be unapologetic about meeting people with the same sh!tty energy they send the way of the athletes.
If people truly want to have substantive discussions about the game of volleyball, and the players who play it, Iām here for it.
But if yāall ask for the smoke, Iāll bring that too lol itās really nothing.

I also remember seeing talk of certain top 2027(?) class setters being on the radar as well to take over for when Tread is gone.

Hopefully Kubr is solid despite not seeing much action at Pepperdine if he's going to be the primary back up since Lowe will redshirt. We all know Rosenthal is going to be the setter barring injury or a major regression in play. The 2024 recruiting class will need to gel, but you can definitely see Hawaii filling the roster with the potential All-American type players to the role players/depth. Lots of turnover this past season. Hopefully it will not be indicative of future classes. Although the landscape has greatly changed with NIL and transfer portal, UH has typically been a program that has kept majority of its core through graduation. Excited to see the remaining 2-3 players that will make up the 12 that koavball mentioned. We know Wade is one of those yet to be named.

This news article on this link says that after he finishes school in two years he will join Italian Civitanova who acquired his rights meaning he's signed a contract. This is the pro club that got Nikolov to leave LBSU early. Stavros has been a Warrior fan since he was about 9 years old, if he decides to go pro then it was too good an offer to pass up. TBH I prefer he goes pro than to Pepp or LB who were coming in hard after him.

Anyone know where Kai Rodriguez ended up? Iāve heard he might concentrate on Beach. Sears might be joining Zack Y up north.

Potential Turkish player? Kupono started following one of the top clubs there, Ziraat Bankasi. Based on the clubs recent IG posts, their youth roster reached the quarterfinals for that age category. There is interest in a Turkish OH but also a šØ one from South America and one from down under. All are around same age and good all around pins so it will be interesting to see who ends up becoming warriors.. Also the best is yet to come from š«š·.

I think we need to look elsewhere now that Stavros will possibly turn pro after HS. I wouldnāt mind we if we land this Yigit Tanriseven kid. He is only 17 and a member of the Turkish NT. Only 192cm(6-3) but a high flyer. We got plenty of kids who can pound the ball. We need good all around players to compliment Adrien Roure. www.instagram.com/volleyballstan_/p/CwUrt5iJdBz/We do need to find new pipeline to open up instead of just Greece, Bulgaria and France. There are plenty of good volleyball players out there. We just need to find them. More Hakalas from Finland. More Umlaft from Germany and more Yuval from Israel. LB associate just started following this player today hmmm, Deja vu.
