It's possible that both are true.
Some athletes could have had academic issues and Wade might have seen it best to focus on the key athletes without academic issues.

someone close to the situation said it was more of an academic issue. letās put these speculations to rest now. So Him and the others were cut in the middle of the season because of academics? Sure. Wade said it himself that they were cut because he just wanted to focus the training with the main team Just let it go and move on. Onwards and upwards. The program is moving on and the student athletes are moving on, time for you all to move on.

Wade said himself that they were cut because he just wanted to focus the training with the main team Just let it go and move on. Onwards and upwards. The program is moving on and the student athletes are moving on, time for you all to move on. That's not what Wade said for everyone. He said, (paraphrasing) he is not a believer in having a lot of players on his roster just to have a lot of bodies. He wants players who can contribute, therefore, he would rather give reps to one player who can contribute versus giving many players a few reps who are not ready to contribute. In the same vein, the players who want to play have to keep up with school, if they fall behind, they cannot participate in any official capacity. There are also some situations where a player's well-being comes first over the team's needs. In other words, every situation is different, for some, it's not being ready to contribute, for others it's academic, and for others, it's the well-being of the student. No one can say anything about FERPA HIPAA matters unless the parties involved are willing to say anything.

Charlie had big rosters in the past and I donāt recall him cutting anyone before season ended. I have my doubt he would cut players mid season unless they broke team rules. Even ājunk playersā can add value to practices by hustling, giving 110% and being a team player so I have my doubt kids were dismissed to give others more reps. Those players who are not part of the rotation could shag balls, cheer their teammates on and be positive contributors in some way. They wonāt be taking reps from the team that way.
Of course, we donāt know what the team rules are but to me, this would be a likely scenario for dismissal.
I heard a coach(forgot who) say on a radio show that the team rules are very simple and if players just abide by the rules, there will always be room for them. Just be a good student and attend classes . Just be a good person and help others who are less fortunate. Just be a good teammate and give max effort every time you set foot in the court. Iām almost 100% sure Charlie live by these rules too and maybe a few other things.
Austin Buchanan had concussion. His situation was different . Kai and Ryan, I get the feeling fell under ābroke team rulesā category. Cutting them mid season just to give others time doesnāt make sense.

ugh we need some recruiting news asap. Finding out who we're targeting, and commitments is the best part of the offseason to me.

Isn't that what Koa hinted at? I thought there was one more international signee (was that Seddik before he signed a pro deal?) and the MB transfer (who I am hoping will be Aruya).

I think heās going to be special for the rainbow warriors in the near future, probably after a redshirt year

I don't remember the team ever having that many. From 2011 - 2013, 2022 Coach Wade had as many as 5 Liberos on the roster. 2018 he had 4 listed as Libero although Tui was listed as L/OH, so L 1st & OH as a secondary position (?) Kai Taylor is listed as an OH/L, so OH first, L secondary(?) Also don't ask me why I'm up at 1:45a as I work at 3:30a šµāš«šµ
