he was listed at 6'5" last year, now 6'8" I don't know where you got this from. But I recently checked and Todd was listed at 6'8 last year and this year. Same height. My roster matrix spreadsheet lists height which I pull from the UH website. I had J.Todd at 6'5" so circa February 2024 he was listed at that. Thor's past post reflects this as well. I dunno why but UH roster list sometimes shortens people (like how Titriyski is currently listed at 6'5" but people say he's 6'8")

All the talks about Kearney being a bit short for the OPP and it turns out that Titriyski is also listed at the same height at 6'5. Did Kearney get taller? I somehow thought Titriyski is taller than that. Edit: in the announcement, they have him at 6'8. I think that is more accurate. I wonder about Kristian being 6-8. I’ve seen some videos and photos and I’m not convinced that Kristian is taller than 6-6. 6-6 is a good size OPP. Dimi was 6-6 so he can be productive. He has proven to be a very good volleyball players by being a top scorer in a world championship tournament so he can play. Yes no doubt about his athletic ability and how good of a player he is. I was just a bit puzzled by that height discrepancy

The guy could jump and hit over the block if he wanted to, and often times did.

Regarding the height discrepancies they did that on the women's side too. 😕

Hmmm so maybe we list Payne at 5'11 versus 6'11 when he arrives at Manoa. That way, he'll only be an inch taller than Wheels...oh wait, they already shrunk Wheels... hes only 5'9 now, same height as Kurt.

Hawaii will be loaded with incredible talent. Probably the best recruiting class ever!

No Kainoa Wade? Curious to see who ends up starting at OH and Oppo?!?! Should be a battle! Kainoa is still in high school and can’t be listed on the roster yet, he’ll graduate in December and join the team (And get added to the roster) then. According to Koav, he may not be the only one. As for starters, I’m guessing practice match pins will be Titryski, Sakanoko, Roure, with Weiter, Todd and Kearney off the bench, Taylor (and maybe Weiter or Kearney) as Serving Specialists. Kearney may redshirt the actual season for his position switch while Kainoa plays backup opposite once he’s here? Kearney is too talented to sit out. I don't see him sitting out. Sakanoko is good, but he is danger of sitting on the bench with the talent coming in. But that will be the problem with this team, a lot of top talent. Roure, I am really excited about him.

How much experience he got vs them bigger boys in the D1 level?

Out of all the recruits Hawaii has gotten, Kearney is the one that I’m least optimistic about. At every single U19 tournament, he has played awfully. I think he was really good 2 years ago when he could hit over the competition, but now, I don’t have high hopes for him at all

He has the potential, but as of now, I don’t see him beating out anyone of Hawaii’s OHs - Sakanoko, Wieter, Roure, or Todd

Hawaii will be loaded with incredible talent. Probably the best recruiting class ever! A fine class no doubt, but I'm partial to the 2015 recruiting class that featured Gasman, Franks, Solbrig, Cowell, Van Tilburg, Joe Worsley, Rosenmeier and Rattray. This class set the standard for Hawaii men's volleyball recruitment classes. I guess time will tell how great this large new class is.
