With Wes Smith being out as long as he has, could a player like Ethan Watson sneak in as FOTY? He has a slightly higher hitting percentage and is 1 block shy of what Wes did. Very possible. I thought Wes was far and away the best freshman when he played, but he did miss 6/12 conference games by my very unofficial count. Other contenders for FOTY and All-Freshman Team include: Caleb Blanchette, S - USC Riley Haine, OH - USC Ryan Graves, S - Pepperdine Christian Galoppo, OH - Concordia Ethan Watson, MB - Pepperdine Noah Roberts, OP - USC Yotam Briger, S - Concordia |

Not a fan of the positionless teams, just because libero is a hard position to generate stats at doesn't mean there should only be one on all four teams combined. On the other hand, if it lets them not upset any of the coaches then whatever. Congrats to Merrick!
