It would be interesting to see how many coaches are coaching two sports at a school and what those sports are. There are a number of people pulling double duty with indoor and beach volleyball or women's and men's indoor volleyball, but how about different sports? I have a feeling that this was more prevalent in previous years but it may be that we may be returning to this model, especially in the non-D1 world. doesn't every track and cross country coach pull double duty? Depending on the school, you can actually sextuple that, as many are 6 time Head Coaches at many small schools. Men's XC, Women's XC, Men's Indoor T&F, Men's Indoor T&F, Women's Outdoor T&F, Men's Outdoor T&F Granted, they are mainly overlap athletes, but they are technically different teams.

Waaaaayyyyy back, in the 70’s, Elaine Michaelis coached volleyball and basketball and taught at least 3 classes: officiating, fundamentals of volleyball and fundamentals of softball. She was a helluva softball pitcher. I always wondered why Carl McGowan didn’t teach the volleyball class.
