Sakonoko needs to come in and he needs to play well. We need offense from that position. Sakanoko gotta settle down though. Still early.

Hawaii hit .382 but UCI was just that much better hitting .483
Hilir is doing his thing with 7 kills while hitting .583 but Tangutur is complimenting him nicely going 4-0-5 hitting .800 and adding two digs
G with 7 kills while hitting .778
The difference in set 1 was the unforced hitting errors, Hawaii had 2 while UCI had 1 and Hawaii had a few more service errors with 5 vs just 3 for UCI. UCI also sided out at a slightly higher clip at 68% vs Hawaii who was as 64%
Keep battling BOWS!

This Irvine looks better than the last time we played them

Sakanoko serve recieve was super shaky thus why he was pulled. But unless Chaz can score from that position....I'd chance it with Sakanoko. He seems to play up when his fellow countryman is opposite of him.

Sakanoko is not ready to play in this type of match. He is playing this match like it is a regular season match, you just cannot do that. You have to take it up a notch or two, in the post season.

Honestly this game is looking incredible. Both teams hitting so well with minimal errors. This is the game I was hoping for.

This Irvine looks better than the last time we played them Because they have their full compliment of players. Hawaii doing well despite their pattern of inconsistency the past few weeks. We see if they can rise to the challenge.

Drat! Still, far from over! I miss Hawai'i commercials on ESPN+, as local to me ones have taken over. Weird after I mentioned this to a local bartender today, a member from an STL based Facebook drinking group that now has 115k members around the world, had posted the McDonald's Hawai'i Breakfast, which I would totally try!

2-0 UCI set 2. Rosenthal has to lock in the connection to G Voss.
And then he does. 2-1

Great push by Tread to find G while being off the net!
UCI is starting this set playing good floor defense

Tread needs to force the middle more like that!

2-0 UCI set 2. Rosenthal has to lock in the connection to G Voss. Like, we need Sydney/Dana type of connection 🧚
