also these stats are tragic for Vakif. Zehra hit negative. KVR, Bosetti, Derya hit .000. did kipp get any extended time or just dub sub Why yank YXY? She was doing fine from stats. Didn't get set a ton. Edit: I'm dumb, it's so Bosetti can come on for Derya. |

At least for the first match, Beşiktaş moving home matches to Akatlar was a spectacular decision. The crowd there tonight was amazing, not only many, many times larger than what they drew at Burhan Felek last season but also a great atmosphere.
It also felt like a true home match while last season's home matches felt more like neutral contests.

At least for the first match, Beşiktaş moving home matches to Akatlar was a spectacular decision. The crowd there tonight was amazing, not only many, many times larger than what they drew at Burhan Felek last season but also a great atmosphere.
It also felt like a true home match while last season's home matches felt more like neutral contests.

One question ... do the asterisks next to some of the names mean that those players came in as subs during those respective sets? Or do they mean something else?

Yes. the number means the spot in the rotation they started the set in. asterisks mean the subbed in. |

Another question ...
Did they remove replay reviews this season? There was no video board at the match that I was at, and I also sort of watched part of the Eczacıbaşı-Aras Kargo stream (I wasn't paying close attention to it), but I don't think they had the potential for reviews either.
If there are none this season, does anyone know why?

Hi there. Vakif is a mess. Bye 👋 Why everyone is thinking that Vakıf is a mess? A couple of days ago, they played against Chieri beating them by 3-2. After that game and taking into consideration the great performance of Galatasaray, many guys started calling GS as Turkish Chieri. That was also wrong cause GS is so great that cannot be compared with Chieri. The only problem about the past was, there were many financial issues and bad management. Why now, our lionesses started roaring? The foundation started last year by giving the keys to Hernandez for experiencing Sultanlar League. 2nd and 3rd moves were to transfer Lazovic in the 2nd half of last season and then renewing the contracts of both İlkin and Lazovic in the new season. Another clever move was to sign with Yasemin Güveli, the best blocker of Sultanlar League. Next was to sign with Alexia, who was considered as a bench player through whole seasons by Guidetti but more important was to sign with Bongaerts and Timmerman duo from Dutch NT, the team mates from Allianz Stuttgart. Another move was to sign with Kalandadze, the best OH of Europian Champions Leage in 2022-2023 also best receiver and best server of Europian Silver League in 2023-2024. Another great move was to sign with Eylül (Libero) who performed very well in all matches played in preseason and she was one of the best against Vakıf, at least better than Ayça. Everything planned very well. GS is a solid team this year, with great motivation, quality, friendship and hungry for success under the leadership of Hernandez. I bet, Guidetti feels regret seeing Alexia and Lazovic with such a great performance. We use to see Alexia in 2021-22 season in GS as the best scorer and many people just laughed when I said she will continue from the point she left and that is what exactly happened. Also Gui must feel regret to search for an OH next to Boskovic at Serbia NT, trying to find a solution to attack and defence, while having such a very valuable player like Lazovic/Dangubic. Overall, Vakıf played against a very strong, focused, organized and playing fast play within a system which we really missed a lot. Yes goodbye Vakıf. This year, we are about to watch a different Sultanlar League. All teams have good players and will be difficult for top 3 teams to continue their stand alone domination over the league. Goodbye again. |

from across the pond its not so great a decision as the broadcast quality was awful. However loved the atmosphere and a huge win for our girls. Not the most promising performance but they pressed their advantage when they had momentum and weathered the storms when Mihajlovic looked her old self and İdil was scoring at will. |
