I went to the Sarıyer-Beşiktaş match on Friday, and it's clear that Sarıyer's doing their best to pick things up atmosphere-wise. Had a yelling public address announcer although he didn't say anything most of the time, sound effects from time to time, fans whistling on Beşiktaş serves at times and even 10-20 singing fans (Sarıyer football supporters?) although that group all left midway in the third set for some reason. Overall, of the four or five Sarıyer home matches that I've been at, this was by far the most energetic atmosphere-wise.
Also, there was a large video screen and replay reviews there. (I wonder if that will be set up at Beşiktaş for their second home match next weekend.)
As far as the match itself went from a Beşiktaş fan perspective, it was nice to get an away win and to move to 2-0. Especially impressive was after the third set was completely going downhill at 19-13 Sarıyer, Beşiktaş scored seven straight points to go up, 20-19, and ultimately won that set, 26-24, to finish off the sweep.

Aras Kargo's home match with Galatasaray on Saturday - i.e. the return of Sultanlar Ligi volleyball to Izmir after a 13-year hiatus - is sold out.

Brako has been about as good as we can hope for, we need a bit more from Saliha and Rosanski but they havent been bad. Dilay needs to improve, but im not too worried about her yet. Pleasant surprise has been Merve the backup opposite.
