Top prospects coming out of a lot of new areas. Very cool and good for the game.

I'm surprised Taliaferro ended up so highly. Haven't seen him play much, but with Rowan for two more years and Urbina coming in as a top-top recruit, Taliaferro seemingly will always be the 2nd best "on paper" option. With his dad as the setting coach too...

Will be very interesting to see him and Rafa competing for that spot post Andrew Rowan.

From what I have heard he is considered the top setting recruit in a very strong class with JLP (Stanford commit). Urbina would not have committed to UCLA if he was going to be sitting behind Taliaferro for 3 years. I believe that strongly, it just doesn't make sense.

Average at best. 2023 and 2024 much stronger. Both setters are similar size, skill, type of setter and competitors from what I have seen. It will be a battle for sure, I think Trent has the edge at the moment due to age. They are both dogs... super clutch players and are not easy to beat.

That is exactly what UCLA does, it is a gladiator pit. Look at Partain and Rowan... or the pin line up, or the opposites, or the middles. Players go there because they all believe that can beat ANYONE out, and the national team coach is there and the best want to play in the Olympics, any like I said, the best players never back down from competition, they charge toward it, if they don't they will never be the best.

This is a bad take. You can tell by the parody in the 17 open division. Every team has high level players that make it super competitive. 2023 was one of the worst classes in recent years. After the top 5-10 it was a SERIOUS drop off compared to ‘22 and ‘23.

Well you got one thing right, the 2025 class is definitely a parody of a competitive class Everyone being equally mid doesn’t make the class impressive
