Cam Thorne to Stanford >>> Why would he do that? Well they lose their big guns and their setter. So would make a little bit of sense.

It’s his dream school some were saying Does he have the grades to get in? The only transfer I've ever heard of Stanford accepting is Ethan Hill.

Personally, I'd rather have Herr setting me than Brouillette, but both will be solid next year. This may be a hot take, but I still think GCU is going to be top 5 next year. Rogers, Anderson, Lucas, & maybe Moser on the pins. But if Thorne leaves that most certainly changes everything.

Not happening.

He had 4 years at Springfield and this season with GCU. So you lose all 3 pins, a middle (Wardlow), and Slight. I don't think GCU will be in the top 10 with all new guys and Werle hardly having played the backups much the last couple of years.

Well, if Thorne leaves, it's because they're losing so many starters he could go anywhere .

It will be hard to replace slight and it will drop some, but Herr is very good. They have a good recruiting class coming in, and Jordan Lucas among pin replacements. Probably pick up a pin in transfer window. Now I could see Lucas entering the portal. Never thought GCU was a good fit for him.

I just don't see him being the answer at any of the pin positions. He was supposed to be the next libero and that didn't work out, spent most of this year as a serving specialist and that didn't work out. I definitely can see him transferring somewhere. Haven't seen enough of Herr in any type of situation to make a call on him. Again, but that's because Werle hardly played anyone outside of his starters the last two years. So it'll be interesting to see who can actually step up and be consistent.
