If Parra at TCU stays healthy next Fall they will definitely be in the top 3. The addition if Kelley and returning players will make them a very tough team. Kansas has a great setter and plenty of arms on the pins to play and beat anyone. K-State will again rely heavily on Carter and will go how she goes. They have 2 nice transfers but their challenge will be passing and defense. Kansas, K-State, Baylor, and TCU will probably lead the way. Utah, ASU, BYU and Iowa St will probably be in the second group. UCF, WVU, Colorado, Arizona, TT and Houston will probably be in the third group. This is a grind of a conference and some teams will actually get a gift in how the schedule keeps them off the home courts of the toughest teams in the conference. That may be a factor in how the final standings will shake out. But I look for 6 teams in this conference to make the NCAA tourney.

Teams will definitely beat up on each other in this league. No dominate teams. Seeing maybe 4 bids.

Maybe fifth or so. And I have Kansas No. 1.

I totally agree with you. I think anybody out of ASU, Baylor, Kansas, K-state, TCU can win. Iowa State is my dark horse

Iowa State is my dark horse bbg95 BYU loses W Bower, Hiapo, Livingston and WML I really don't see them being anything more than decent this year (5-10th). If Stowers can get healthy or TCU can learn to pass I can easily see either one of those teams taking the title. Kansas and ASU did rely heavily on Cooper and Levinska, respectively. BUT they both still have some major pieces returning plus ASU has a pretty solid transfer/freshman class coming in for the 2024 season. I agree ISU is going to be up there but I don't think they're a dark horse. The only real ? for them is middle. K-State brings in some solid middle transfers but the loss of Morris is HUGE imo. I don't see them as competitive as everyone else seems to but who knows maybe I'm wrong. This conference is about to tear each other apart!

They also haven't missed the tournament since 2011. I try not to bet against good coaches.

I see the WVU coaching staff got on and voted for themselves haha How many key injuries would the Big 12 have to suffer across the board, before WV could realistically win the conference title?

Stowers seems to still be a question mark for Baylor. McGhee and Murphy were the two starting OHs in spring ball, and I’m not sure Stowers played at all this spring.
It’ll also be interesting to see how Jackie Barrett connects with the offense given she hasn’t gotten to campus yet. Could be a battle between her and Kreck.

Here were the final Pablo rankings - sort of a starting point for me when looking towards this season. Those top 3 teams are losing a premier point scorer - and then I think Houston is losing a bunch of scoring.
I think Kansas will do pretty well - brining back 100% of their passing and setting and almost all of their hitting outside of Cooper, plus what I think is a very strong recruiting class. BYU's recruiting for the last several years (plus their consistent history) makes me think they will be among the top teams. And then I suspect ASU will also be in that top tier.
I am looking forward to doing a deep dive into each roster once transfers have been settled.
9 Arizona State 13 BYU 15 Kansas 16 Houston 25 Baylor 28 Kansas State 33 TCU 37 Iowa State 49 Colorado 51 UCF 74 Utah 83 Cincinnati 90 Arizona 119 Texas Tech 148 West Virginia

I have my eyes on Iowa State to be a dark horse to win and potentially Colorado to be better than others think. I think TCU will be good, they have the pins to do it but unsure of their setter, bro and middles.
I also think Baylor might struggle this year, I think people don’t want to acknowledge how good Carlson made all their hitters look. I think they finish in the 8ish range.
Big 12 is going to be fun, a lot of people beating up on each other.
