I was looking at the rankings, I'm not sure if this is preseason poll for nation? Or its ranked by the tournament. It says that UCSB is something like #6, UC Irvine #7, UOP #3, UCLA #1. Can someone enlighten me on these numbers. I know Hawaii and Pepperdine were 1 and 2 respectively last year, with BYU and us as contenders for 3 and 4. If these are national rankings, then I must say someone is on cr@ck. But I never recall Irvine, CSUN ever being contenders for anything last year. SB didn't beat UCLA for a #6 seed and LA being number 1. Please shed some light before I go to the game with the wrong perception.

I think what you are looking at is the seeding towards the UCSB tournament. The coach who puts the tournament together ranks the teams according to how good they expect each team to be and so on. Since Hawaii and Pepperdine are not in the tournament, they will not get any "rank". I know that the AVCA poll hasn't come out with the men's ranking yet, so whatever your looking at isnt the official poll.

Thanks for showing that, I went to the same link later on and I think it corrected itself, either way you can find it at ucsbgauchos.com, men's volleyball and there is a link to the tournament there. It should be very interesting all around some great teams. I definately look forward to Friday and Saturday, hopefully it doesn't conflict with the Raiders game.
Go Gauchos!
