Cuba has this huge 7'0" middle but their current setter appears to be the same one who played quite poorly in the U19 tournament a few weeks ago so not too concerned as of yet about them.

Lets see how he looks next to the two 7'ers and two 6'10" players on teh USA roster. that Cuba middle is leading all scorers with 22 points near the end of the 4th. He has a nice armswing, is pretty good in the back court and a fluid jump serve. He is not very quick laterally but he is huge!

Starting over Josh Aruya is nonsense type stuff for a guy playing up an age group.

Huge fan of Jackson Cryst, IMO one of the best 2025 recruits. Great to see him have a big tournament.

Huge fan of Jackson Cryst, IMO one of the best 2025 recruits. Great to see him have a big tournament. has he committed yet? I think people forget that Cryst is still probably deciding between volleyball and basketball. He still has a year to prove himself at 6'10" if not taller on that front. According to his Instagram he's already gotten a D1 basketball offer. That's a tough choice many players had to decide on when they were young. If he continues to get offers any volleyball program is probably going to have to match with a full ride in order to secure him. The kid has options so smartly he's going to take his time. Probably a good reason why he's on the U21 team, putting him against international competition might sway his decision to pursue one over the other.
