I agree. I hope Karch and Co. continue to invest in her but just do not think she fits this system. She seems afraid to swing. That is a problem. it seemed like karch was in her ear the whole time telling her what to do. i mean she stopped swinging completely after the first set and continues to play?… she didn’t ask for a higher set until she subbed at the end of the game. it’s almost like he’s trying to make her a true OH2 and that’s just not her play style. Welcome to USAV. He did the SAME thing to Michelle Bartsch-Hackley last quad. Karch and his system like for the ball control outside hitter to be OH1. It is what it is.

Plummer: 35-19-102 (.157) Larson: 89-14-203 (.369) so at this point: Offense: Larson Defense: Larson Passing: Larson Serving: Larson Blocking: Plummer at what point is the experiment over and she returns to being a front row super sub every once in a while?🫣 😢 Plummer’s gotta prove she wasn’t good just in college or with a super team around her at Imoco. Let’s go, girl! Time to have a set five kinda match.

I think we all hope that she gets there. The question is when? I had hoped being named to the Olympic team would take some pressure off. Look at LC. Playing free as a bird.

This isn't entirely true, MBH was OH1 until the last set of the Russia match (4th RR match), and then he swapped hers and Larson's positions for the remainder.

Cook, Rettke and Drews all ended with 13 points. Chi with 12 pts. KP with 5 and LC with 3 pts.
That is a really well balanced offense.
Solid performances all around.
I'm curious what the passing stats will look like once they are available.

In my opinion, Plummer just needs to be set more. She was hardly set in system at all this match…the number of times I was thinking “set Plummer!” and it would go elsewhere.
Like if you’re gonna have her in, you have to set her enough for her to make up for her poor passing or else her confidence gets shot. But that also begs the questions whether that type of balance is worth dealing with or just have Larson and Cook in. Idk I’m just thinking out loud here

Guys don’t worry Gray and Plummer will be reunited at LA 2028 where she will set her the ball she wants. And if she can’t, Kami will be waiting on the bench to do so 🙂↔️
