The pools feel relatively weak to me.
Maybe it’s a result of the exodus of the Americans. Neither French team will be as good as last season.
Is there any confirmation on how the knockout round will be set? I hope it’s not the same ranking thing as last seasons
The Turkish and Italian teams being on the same side In both the CEV/Challenge is interesting

There's just such a huge disparity between the top teams from the top leagues and everyone else - it makes the group stages low stakes where these teams can tank one or two (or not give them full preparation/effort) and still emerge unscathed. |

Dresden vs Nancy is a fun first round.
Clothier (Dresden) and Bergmark (Nancy) were teammates in PR last year.
Both have a few NCAAers
Dresden: Clothier, Levinska, Demidova (for one week in GT lol)
Nancy: Bergmark, Alondra Vazquez, Runnels, Kayley Cassaday

Dresden vs Nancy is a fun first round. Clothier (Dresden) and Bergmark (Nancy) were teammates in PR last year. Both have a few NCAAers Dresden: Clothier, Levinska, Demidova (for one week in GT lol) Nancy: Bergmark, Alondra Vazquez, Runnels, Kayley Cassaday Dresden's team looks legit this upcoming season. Their strongest roster in several years imo. |
