They really should just get Matt back on the OH. Umm, he's looking just fine tonight! .. . As an oppo 🤣 He is. However, the big reason why it's necessary to have an elite opp is the D ball. Which is his weakest ball. If the USA is going to have zero production from the right back, might as well stick one of the other leftsides there. I'm sure they'll be just as productive in the front row. |

Why not let TJ play on the right and Matt on the outside? Seems like what we are doing now just doesn’t work against the best teams so would be worth it to try some new looks in these games that are less important before Paris.

They really should just get Matt back on the OH. That's what I've been saying in the other game thread lol. He hits with a bit more juice and can hit with better tempo on the outside (and i think hitting on the pipe is his best hit). Him on the oppo is good but it's kinda slow and has been hit or miss the past few seasons and has been mostly ineffective against top teams (except Italy in the VNL semis last year). There has to be someone that they can put on the right side that can hit there. Maybe Russell? TJ hits pretty well there too but I think they may lose too much offense if they don't have TJ to put away out of system balls. |
