yep, wasn't forced into some quick crap she doesn't need to be successful but alas Like why is a 6’6” hitter getting sets that are barely at the top of the net There is a myth that's been around since her Stanford days that KP, like many very tall outsides, just wants slower, higher, outside. As a friend of mine used to say, "alto afuera!" Not true. Stanford ran a fast offense, and KP was excellent at a variety of low, tight sets. BTW, unless the sets were mistakes, none of them were "barely at the top of the net."

Only watched set 1 and jesus was 3/4 of that set service errors? Both teams served terribly but USA can really not serve like that if they want a medal

Kelsey isn't a total mess tonight. Still isn't IMOCO Kelsey and probably will never be with our opposites. Seeing Plummer crush that ball on the right during the dub sub makes me so angry that she has never been tried at that position for TEAM USA Kelsey is an elite passer and defender. Not a terminator OOS. That's the whole problem with her being outside.

Match Two
KP - very good offensively. Lots of kills in and OOS. Lots of blocks. Passing shaky in Set 1. After that her passing settled while still giving up the occasional ace. Kelsey - much better from Match One. Passed well as always. A few offensive miscues but seemed decent overall. Haleigh - didn't get set much. Lots of blocks. The team seems to feed off her good energy. Chiaka - solid. They didn't force too many slides to her. Most her kills came cross body on 1s. Donna - solid. Most notable for her long service runs. Drews - better than Match One. Had some nice kills on fast tempo. Had some errant misses too. JT - solid. Didn't get set a ton but seemed effective when set JWO - solid. Didn't get served very often. Didn't poach very often. Avery - very solid. In her Set Four appearance, had some nice kills. Passed okay. Poulter - very smooth offense. Nice tempo and location. Setting the bic might have been iffy. Served well. Got digs and hustled. I'm holding my breath tho half the time worried she'll get reinjured. Carlini - solid. A little better location over Match One.
Overall a good outing by Team USA but Netherlands really just rolled over on this one. Too many missed serves by both teams.
