No dream team this year it seems But yes, Aaron had quite the tournament . Averill led the tourney in blocks Max Holt got better and stronger every match. And Matt proved that age is just a number. Basically this Olympics has established a new paradigm on the “AGE” understanding of Men’s International Volleyball |

Wow I forgot Aaron and Lucarelli were the dream team OHs in Rio. And he “only” hit .335 in that tournament!
Just going by efficiency Aaron and Clevenot were the best OHs. .451 and .438.
The only pin with a higher efficiency was Romanò who finished .468

I think TJ moves to the beach for 2028 Zero reason to give up the guaranteed $$$ he'll get playing indoor to grind on the beach Why does everyone on VT assume players will go to the beach. TJ is a top 5 outside.. he gonna make bank indoors and not waste his time making sand castles lol |

Haven't been able to watch a replay yet, but looking at the stats, Jouffroy with 4 aces! Dude came in clutch for them at the VNL finals and now here in the gold medal match!

Post #3 has been updated with results from the Gold and Bronze medal matches, the 2024 Paris Olympic Games medalists, as well as the final standings from the tournament.
I just want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this thread and all the match threads during this Olympics. Genuinely wasn't sure how much interaction this tournament was going to get, but I had an incredibly good time commenting and crying and thirsting rooting for all these players with everyone. It was really cool to get varied perspectives from all the posters I usually see in the Italian league and VNL threads, but I also loved seeing so many new posters join in.
Regardless if your favorite team won or not, it's always memorable to see us passionately come together in the name of the sport we love!
Here's to seeing y'all in more threads so we can drool over cheer for Jaeschke and Ran and Anderson and all our favs during the pro season!!
