I'm using a Canadian IP address through VPN to access the CBC Olympic coverage. When I'm connected that way, Volleytalk pages no longer load. Quitting and restarting the browser doesn't help, and the effect persists with both Firefox and Chrome.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I've always assumed that some of our other international fans are actually located outside of the US, but maybe I'm mistaken.

Yes, I've had the same experience. When traveling outside of the US I VPN to the US in order to read VT

It's possible that the specific IP address that your VPN is using may be blocked. I ran into that issue once when I was trying to watch something on a Canadian website. I had to switch from Toronto or Montreal to Vancouver to get it to work. |

I was in Ottawa during VNL and had no problem viewing and posting. |

Tried to VPN into the last few countries I visited where I had the issues and it worked as well. I like your theory about it being a specific IP address issue. |

Changing to a couple of other countries, allowed VT to load, and switching from Toronto to Vancouver also worked. Very strange. |

Possibly the admin at VT banned someone that was using that IP in the past?
