Having to go no-conest with Dayton could come back to bite the Nuts. That would have been a solid win and now there aren't many opportunities to pick on up OOC. Plus they've now got a loss to USF on their resume that I don't think is going to age well. This squad is sorta a mess at the moment and the roster management is starting to show as a problem. I fear the window to possible sneaking a B1G title is firmly closed on the program for the near future.

Even with a loss wouldn’t playing them have been a slight RPI boost since opponent win-loss record is 50% of RPI? They were the unanimous preseason pick to win the A10 and now Ohio State won’t have their win-loss record calculated into their RPI. 🫤

The "window" was when JFO was coaching the Carlston players. I'd've kept them all around for that extra covid year, myself. But then again what do I know. As for USF, they beat Florida too. So they might be pretty good.

Not assuming but it was 1-1 with Dayton barely winning the first and the Nuts comfortably won the second. So no, it was not a gaurentee but "Huge" seems to be doing some heavy lifting here...

So they might be pretty good. Well... yes... but we were willing to give JFO the opportunity with the new players and an established star in Londot.... the window has slammed shut.

We need some positive takeaways to focus on. Who are the most promising young players?
